This album reminds me of their earlier albums but with more precise execution of their vision.
And holy shit, the poems / lyrics are phenomenal. This is truly a work of art.

Funeral Fog This record is darker than Cursed Thoughts, haunting agonized cleans throughout, with blackened screams. Thick sexy guitar layers with drums you could dream of. Not to also mention, the orchestral feel & blasting horns.. Hornwood Fell has created something to last for ages, one album that I will continue to remember. Favorite track: Il Canto Della Tenebra.

It's immoral of the band to deliver two (three as Cursed Thoughts is double) albums for a year's list within one year.
This is blacker but it would do it harm to call it simply black metal. And, again, UNLIKE anything you've heard before, including their former releases. Guitars are absolute. Instrumentation is incredible. Songwriting's full of surprises.

"Degli Alberi e L'acque è Notturno" explores the world seen from the eyes of Dino Campana, the great Italian poet (1885 – 1932).
The album returns through sound and voice the intense emotional dialogue that arose in us, interpreters of his verses.
In order to enjoy a more complete experience, it is therefore essential to accompany the experience of listening the album with the reading of the poems in the 'Canti Orfici' (Orphic Songs).
You can read the poems through a 22 pages booklet which we have included here on our bandcamp page, both in the original language and in english, to give the possibility to a foreign public to deepen their understanding and thus to enter the poet’s world through our music.
A visionary world inspired by the popular culture typical of our beautiful country, building a bridge between Black Metal and Italian (not only) musical landscapes.
